Hello! If you’re here, you must have seen my story in The Queen’s Fayte Brigade letter about my family breaking the monotony of our quarantine nights by taking a virtual trip to Disneyland Paris.
As I mentioned in the letter, we love our trips to Disneyland, and we’ve been missing the park terribly while it’s shut down. Since we can’t go, I thought I’d put together a YouTube playlist of some of ride-throughs of our favorite rides. But then I got a better idea… If we’re going to visit virtually, why not visit one of the Disney parks we haven’t been to yet? When I settled on Disneyland Paris, it seemed only fitting to include a French meal in the bargain.
In the end, we went all out. I send special invitations to my family and set up a fancy menu. We dressed in our best berets. We dined on French cheeses and baguettes, nicoise salad, French onion soup, and chocolate crepes for dessert. And, best of all, we enjoyed an hour or so of Disney bliss with a playlist of Disney Paris videos.
No, it didn’t rival a real visit, but we sure had fun. And I’m already planning our next virtual escape.
